Forgiveness is of the greatest importance for all. As we read in the Gospel of St. Matthew, if we are unable to forgive men their trespasses, neither will our Heavenly Father forgive us our transgressions.
Following Divine Liturgy on this day we will all share in a common meal (meatless) and, as brothers and sisters in Christ, celebrate the Forgiveness Vespers service in church.
From this day, until the Glorious Resurrection of Our Lord, we abstain from all cheese and dairy products.
